Economies in the region are set to continue to grow rapidly in coming years. Endowed with huge natural resources, the region is the key supplier of commodities to world markets.

Eurasia Capital Management pursues attractive investment opportunities across three asset classes: public securities, private equity and property.

Public Securities

Local equities markets are in their infancy stage in the most of the countries in Central Asia, the Caucasus and Mongolia. The total market capitalization of stock exchanges in the region is USD 100 billion; however Kazakhstan alone represents 80% of this market. The Kazakh equity market went from USD 1 billion in market capitalization in 2000 to USD 80 billion today. ECM managed funds provide earlier investors unrivaled exposure to local equities markets throughout the region which have a strong potential for multi-year growth.

Private Equity

Perhaps one of the best investment returns can be captured through private equity investments in the region. Frontier Eurasian countries are undergoing fundamental transformation with the emergence of dynamically growing private sector businesses which keenly seek expansion capital. At the same time, the governments are proceeding with privatization of state-own enterprises which attract strong flows of foreign direct investments both from strategic and financial buyers. ECM has strong investment management team which is successfully executing a strong pipeline of private equity deals in the region.

Property

Local property markets in Frontier Eurasian countries have strongly appreciated in recent years starting with an extremely low base and growing on average at 30-40% annually in recent years. Strong economic growth and continued boom in commodities provide positive environment for further appreciation of property assets throughout the region. ECM managed funds provide investors unique access to strongly performing local property markets in Central Asia, the Caucasus and Mongolia.
